Why I Built Internal Reset
I TRIED TO OUT-DISCIPLINE MY BODY TOO.
For seven years, I dealt with gut dysfunction, cystic acne, bloating and gas after almost anything I ate. I changed my diet, bought supplements, saw doctors and practitioners, researched endlessly and kept trying harder. I spent close to $30,000 trying to figure out what was wrong.
AND I STILL DIDN’T HAVE AN ANSWER.
I was doing what high-achieving people do when something isn’t working: learning more, trying harder and looking for the next solution. But more effort wasn’t giving me more clarity.
THE DATA FINALLY GAVE ME DIRECTION.
Testing uncovered SIBO, low digestive function and immune dysfunction — information I never could have pieced together from my symptoms alone.
Instead of attacking everything at once, I worked through it in phases: rebuilding digestive and immune function, addressing the microbial overgrowth, supporting my gut barrier and regulating my nervous system along the way.
EIGHT MONTHS LATER, MY LIFE LOOKED VERY DIFFERENT.
After working through the process in phases, I retested and the SIBO was gone.
I could eat without the gas and reactions that had controlled my meals for years. The cystic acne stopped. I could eat a wide variety of foods again without constantly wondering how my body was going to react.
For the first time in years, food was just food again.
THIS WASN’T MY FIRST INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH. IT WAS THE PROBLEM THAT MADE ME GO DEEPER.
I’ve worked in health and fitness since I was 18 — from competitive bodybuilding and firefighting to corporate fitness and post-secondary education. My background includes a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion, additional coursework in genetics and psychology, and continued education in functional medicine coaching.
But my own experience taught me something education alone couldn’t: having more information isn’t enough. You need to know how to connect it, sequence it and turn it into decisions.
I BUILT THE PROGRAM I WISH I HAD.
Internal Reset came from that experience. Not another generic protocol. Not another list of foods to cut. A way to gather the right information, understand the bigger picture and build a strategy around the person in front of me.
